Guaranteed success can be based on God's promises and principles to Joshua (found in Joshua 1:1-9). You weren’t born to lose; you were born to succeed. What is God’s idea of prosperity and success? (Josh 1:9). These words have fallen into bad company today. Materialism, excessiveness, fame. The word prosper means (tsaw-lakh’) to advance mightily, make progress, to break out, to prosper and succeed. Success (saw-kal) means to be wise, prudent, to have insight, to act wisely, to succeed. This is a success guaranteed by God and accomplished by God not just dependent on us. The word success means to reach your goals. We set goals to accomplish but success also includes goals of the kind of person we want to be not just the things we want to do. We need goals for being and doing and they need to compliment one another.

There are 40,000 new state and federal laws being enacted this year in America. A law is a fixed or absolute rule that when obeyed yields certain results. The Bible is called the law of God. The Bible is the final word for our life. The Bible reveals who God is, who we are and his will for us. The Bible records the creation of the world and world history that opened the way for God’s plan of salvation in giving his son Jesus for our salvation. The word “book” means we have a written authoritative record. God guaranteed Joshua's success based on the law of his word. He told him to do three things in relation to the word of God: Speak it, think it, live it.
